The Best Connection are recruiting for Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client, based in Ellesmere Port.
The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain and repair industrial machinery for recycled glass processing e.g electronic control panels, conveyors
- Ensure all plant maintenance and repairs are completed safely and promptly
- Carry out scheduled tasks and perform preventative maintenance as needed
- Follow Health and Safety procedures and actively support their improvement
- Ensure all shift check sheets are filled out as instructed
- Other general maintenance duties when required
Requirements:
- Over 5 years of experience in plant fitting and maintenance within industrial settings
- Welding experience (desirable but not essential)
- A wide range of knowledge in both Electrical & Mechanical engineering is an advantage but the role is Mechanically biased
- Able to clearly understand engineering drawings and build parts or structures from them with accuracy
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
The shifts are 4 on, 4 off. The hours are 06:00-18:00.
