Class 1 Shunter Driver ASAP START

Location: Aylesham

Salary: £16 - £21ph

Contract Type: Ongoing temporary work

About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver. You will be responsible for safely moving vehicles and trailers between two sites on the same industrial estate. This role also requires a hands-on approach in assisting with yard duties as needed, so flexibility and a team-oriented mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shunt vehicles and trailers safely between the two sites.

• Assist in yard operations, including loading/unloading and general site support.

• Conduct routine safety checks on vehicles and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

• Work closely with the yard team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driving licence.

• Proven experience in shunting and yard operations.

• Good teamwork skills and willingness to assist where needed.

• Strong attention to safety and detail.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
