Our client, a construction equipment supplier specialising in site access control and workforce management software, requires a Stores Operative on Days for an immediate start, includes training and positions leading to permanent after a successful trial period. 

The Stores Operative is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring products are accurately stocked and readily available for distribution. This role involves overseeing the receipt, organisation and movement of stock in our warehouse. The Stores Operative works closely with other departments such as purchasing, sales, operations team and production to ensure efficient inventory control and timely stock replenishment.

Duties of the role:

• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring accurate inventory records in our MRP system.
• Receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries.
• Assisting in stock audits to prevent discrepancies.
• Co-ordinating with Purchasing Manager to ensure goods are ordered in timely manner.
• Preparing stock orders based on demand forecasts and reorder points.
• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse.
• Reporting any stock-related issues or discrepancies to management.
• Picking Customer Orders and Manufacturing Orders including stock movement 
• Assisting in preparation of customer orders.

Shifts:

• Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-13:00 

Rates of pay:

• £12.21 per hour
