Chef/Cook – 3-Month Contract | Immingham
We are currently recruiting for a Chef/Cook to join our client in Immingham on a 3-month contract, starting on 12th May.
Role Details:
Location: Immingham
Start Date: 12th May
Contract Length: 3 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare 400–600 meals daily, ensuring high standards are consistently met and meals are delivered on time and in the correct quantities.
- Maintain strict adherence to HACCP , with accurate documentation of all food safety procedures.
- Deliver prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all customers during meal service times.
- Ensure the kitchen and surrounding areas meet hygiene and cleanliness standards, with all required daily checks and records completed.
- Assist the Chef Manager with the preparation and delivery of buffets and special functions, including those that may occur outside of normal working hours.
- Support food preparation and production for all departments, as required.
- Assist the Chef Manager with stocktaking, ordering, and general administrative duties.
- Promptly report any customer feedback, incidents, or concerns to the Chef Manager and support the completion of any required documentation.
- Attend required training sessions and meetings, and help support the training of junior catering team members.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks or requests made by members of the management team.
- Take pride in the role and the positive impact it has on the smooth and successful operation of the catering department.

- Proven experience working in a high-volume food production environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, clients, and colleagues.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively.
- Works well under pressure and remains composed during busy periods.

- Passion for food and exceptional customer service.
- Proactive in identifying and reporting potential issues to the Chef Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Supervising Food Safely – Level 3 (or equivalent).
- IOSH Managing Safely or a similar health & safety qualification.
- Previous experience in a Lead Chef or Sous Chef role.
- Solid understanding of production kitchens and large-scale meal preparation.
- Experience working within a contract catering environment.
- Staff training experience or formal training qualifications.
- Competency in temperature control and cook-chill procedures.
- Willingness to complete and implement all client-specific training.
