Laminator - Rochdale
Our client are looking to add to the team with a view to permanency for the right candidate, you must want permanent role to apply.
A laminator vacancy within the production environment - working in teams of two producing fibreglass units for a small family based business that will invest in your ongoing training and development.
- Hours - 40 per week - Mon to Wed 0800-1630 Thurs 0800-1700 Friday 0700-1500
- Pay Rates - £12.65 increasing to £12.95 after 6 weeks, £13.45 after 12 weeks - Can increase to £14.50 per hour once experienced
- Overtime rates at 40 hours per week at time and one half
Responsibilities of the Laminators
- Preparing a cleaning mould
- Applying a gel coat
- Painting solvent onto products
- Stripping a mould using a scraper
- Products can be up to 3m long, so physical stretching/flexibility is required
- Handling woven & Non-woven materials
Requirements of the Laminators
- Comfortable working with a strong solvent smell
- This role would suit you if you enjoy making things & take pride in your work
- Good accuracy and organisational skills.
- Enjoy painting goods
- Physical fitness/flexibility is essential
- Background in a similar role is an advantage
