The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner for their client based in Ashton - Under - Lyne. As a member of the Transport Team, you will be working in a varied role, primarily focused on Transport planning. You will also assist in the day to day running of the Transport Office. This is a Temp to Perm position for the right candidate.

Pay Rates:

• £13.51 per hour

Shift times:

• 08.00 – 1630 Monday – Thursday, 0800 – 1600 Friday. 

Duties:

• Planning daily workload for 10 - 15 vehicles. 
• Effective planning and utilisation of drivers and sub-contract haulage for deliveries & collections nationwide. 
• Dealing with queries by telephone, and email from our customers, sub-contract hauliers and Sales teams. 

Requirements:

• Must have experience of general road haulage transport planning. 
•  Be able to work effectively in a close team. 
•  Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale. 
• Experience of organising outbound and return loads. 
• Applicant must have good geographical knowledge. 
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year. 
• PC Literate in Word, Excel and Outlook.
