Service Driver

Depot Based

£13.46 per hour + Overtime Opportunities

The Best Connection are looking for a Service Driver on behalf of our client.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, professional, and safety-conscious driver to join a busy depot team. The role involves the delivery, collection, servicing, and maintenance of portable toilets and welfare units at customer sites.

If you enjoy working independently, managing your own workload, and delivering high service standards, this could be the ideal role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery and collection of portable toilets and welfare units
• Multi-drop servicing (emptying, cleaning, refilling chemicals, replenishing consumables)
• Steam cleaning, basic repairs, and preparation of units before dispatch
• Planning and organising daily service schedules efficiently
• Accurate completion of paperwork (authorised signatures, damages, fleet numbers)
• Safe loading and unloading of equipment (strapping/chaining/roping)
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness
• Testing electrical fittings prior to dispatch in line with legal requirements
• Ensuring waste is disposed of in accordance with company procedures
• Adhering to all Health & Safety legislation and customer site rules
• Operating forklift trucks when required
• Using and downloading digital tachographs where applicable
• Supporting general depot and workshop duties

Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Previous multi-drop or service driving experience preferred
• Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

A Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am - 4:00pm (Job and Finish)
