The Best Connection is recruiting for a Centre Lathe Machinist for our Wolverhampton based client.

Working 08:00AM till 16:30PM Monday toThursday and 08:00AM till 13:30PM on Friday.
£12.50 per hour starting salary
Main duties will involve:
- Manufacturing carbon & stainless-steel flanges using conventional lathes (not CNC). Main operations are face, edge and boring of profiled carbon steel blanks.
- Setting and operating with minimum of supervision, therefore must be experienced in setting both feeds and speeds of lathe. Secondary Role.
- Setting and operating a range of radial drills – from 3´ to 10´ capacity.
- Setting of Pitch Circle Diameters (PCD), for flange drilling, using a rotary table. Must be able to set and operate with minimum of supervision, therefore must be experienced in setting both feeds and speeds of radial drills
No single point thread cutting experience require
This is a long term role with the potential for a permanent placement with the company after a trial period .
